BioWare has revealed that Mass Effect 2 will be shipping Jan 26, 2010 in North America and January 29 for Europe.

Also mentioned was preorder bonuses of exclusive in-game items, which the official blog says are for North America, but we’ll check to see if Europe is getting some as well.

Here are the details:

In North America, pre-order bonuses include special-ops armor and weaponry that are designed to boost Commander Shepard’s skills and abilities. At GameStop, Terminus Gear is available with pre-orders, which includes the powerful Terminus Assault Armor and the Blackstorm Heavy Weapon:

* The Terminus Armor is designed for use in extreme planetary conditions, increasing run speed and personal shields, and augmenting weapons with an additional magazine of reserve ammo.
* The M-90 Blackstorm Heavy Weapon generates a high-powered localized gravity well, accelerating particles to near-infinite mass, and ultimately expanding the selection of heavy weapons available to players when they gear up for combat missions in Mass Effect 2.

Today Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer announced that the public beta of Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010 and Microsoft Office 2010 will become available in November.

Office 2010, formerly known under its code name “Office 14″, is going to be released in two different flavors: 32-bit and 64-bit, making it the first Office to support both platforms. Another interesting tidbit is the ad-supported, free, and reasonably slimmed-down, Web-based version of Office 2010, which was announced at the Professional Developer Conference in Los Angeles, September 2008. Businesses, which want to use the Web-based version without the ads, will have to pay a fee to Microsoft.

Logitech always wow us with their lovely gadgets. Here is the new G110 throws out those styling cues for something a little more minimalistic. So yes, I kind of like it.

The G110 might not have LCD screens or futuristic color schemes like its G19 or G15 big brothers, but it also has a lot lower price at $79. Plus, it maintains customizable backlighting, on-the-fly macro recording, 15 dedicated macro buttons, and it even adds USB audio to the mix. But it’s the styling that draws me in. Dare I call it sexy? It’s sleek, clean, and thin. Logitech has finally made a gaming keyboard that can easily blend into a work environment.

Avalance Studdios released a new trailer for their shooter Just Cause 2

Just Cause 2 uses a new version of the Avalanche Engine, Avalanche Engine 2.0; an updated version of the engine used in Just Cause.The game will be set on the other side of the world, compared to Just Cause, on the fictional tropical island of Panau in Southeast Asia. Rico Rodriguez will return as the protagonist, who has to overthrow the evil dictator Baby Panay and confront his former boss, Tom Sheldon. Just Cause 2 is slated to arrive on PC, Xbox 360 and Play Station 3 in 2010, published by Eidos.

Well, I guess we are closing in on the launch of DX11 class cards from ATI. And rumors start to pop up on the web. Some of them are pulled directly out of the *** of some websites in order to get some extra pageviews. This one, however, might be true.

It is now rumored that compared to the Radeon 4850 (RV770) the Radeon 5850 (Cypress — RV870 ) will be roughly 1.6 times faster than the older chip. Looks like the new graphics cards will also supports a new anisotropic filtering method .

On the virge of the release of a new quad-core family series processors Intel launched another Core 2 Quad processor, the Core 2 Quad Q9505 based on a 45nm fabrication process (Yorkfield core) can be seated in socket LGA775 and runs at 2.83GHz. It has 6MB of L2 cache and a 95W TDP.

It’s expected to be priced roughly at US $210.

Western Digital announced that it’s now shipping 2-terabyte 7200 RPM drives for hardware enthusiasts and workstation PCs, the WD Caviar Black 2TB and the WD RE4 2TB respectively. Both drives sport 64MB of cache, 500GB platters, 3Gb/sec SATA, and 5-year warranties, with the Caviar Black 2TB retailing for $299 (pricing for the RE4 2TB was not announced just yet).
